INION RAN is a large research center providing library, information and analytical support for scientific activities in the field of social sciences and humanities. The Institute is known both in Russia and abroad for its scientific-analytical, abstract, bibliographic materials, as well as its library of fundamental research.
The research center was founded in 1969 on the basis of the Fundamental Library for Social Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
