The article discusses distinctive features of constructional phrasemes that represent a special class of Russian multiword expressions. In the prototypical case, constructional phrasemes are sentences with lexical structure, in which some valences are not filled, and their semantics has no image component. The empty slots of constructional phrasemes can be filled in by both simple (X) and propositional (P) actants. The idiomaticity of constructional phrasemes extends to their structure with the lexically fixed parts, and not to lexical units filling in empty slots.
