The reports made at the International Scientific and Practical Conference
“Language as an instrument of contacts and conflicts: causes and consequences”
(October 27–28, 2022) are highlighted. The conference was prepared by the
Faculty of Linguistics of Moscow State Regional University together with the Department
of Linguistics of the Institute of Scientific Information on Social Sciences
(INION). The conference was attended by researchers from various universities in Russia
and the near abroad. The researchers focused on the actual problems of modern
linguistics. The conference was held in a mixed mode.
